Who should attend?
HR Managers, In-House Lawyers, Line Managers, FD’s and Owner Managers.
Why should you attend?
Those responsible for the employee/HR side of TUPE transfers often find themselves thrown in at the “deep end” at the last minute, when the commercial deal is near completion.
Often set against a background of trade union presence in the workplace, a reluctance on the part of the outgoing employees to want to transfer and a desire by the incoming employer to amend terms and conditions. The workshop will give best practice guidance to instil confidence in employers so that they are familiar with the legal issues, but more importantly that they have in a place a plan of action.
Protostar training is 50% legal and 50% real world practical advice.
You can send us your questions in advance and we will try to incorporate them into the session.
You will get 4 hours of training from an employment lawyer backed up by two management consultants, both of whom have been European HR Managers.
What will I know at the end of the 4 hours?
Practical guidance on questions such as:
· How do I communicate the reasons for the transfer?
· How do I go about electing appropriate representatives?
· What if nobody puts themselves forward as an appropriate representative?
· The incoming employer wants to be involved in the informing and consulting prior to the transfer, I’m nervous about this?
· What if the employee refuses to transfer?
· I’m concerned that the incoming employer is not being entirely truthful about the changes they intend making, what do I do?
· Can I make redundancies before the transfer or do I have to wait until after the transfer?
· Who do I include in the pool for selection if I am going to make redundancies?
· Can I de-recognise the trade union?
· What happens to the collective agreement?
· How do I undertake a due diligence and what should I look out for?
· How do I integrate new people in to our organisation?
How will this be delivered?
An employment lawyer and two consultants will combine traditional training presentations with short exercises and quizzes to ensure that knowledge is embedded. Group discussions will allow you to learn from the experiences of others. The pace will be fast, upbeat, lively and humorous. You will not fall asleep.
How much does this cost?
